An Ankalad Ladder Stabiliser secures a ladder in much the same way as stabilisers secure a child's first bike.

Correctly positioned it's impossible for the ladder to slide down the wall or side over sideways due to over-reaching - which is the real killer and cause of 9 out of 10 accidents.

Ankalad weighs just 3.6kg (8lbs) and is built to a high quality using the finest materials, namely annodised aluminium, zinc plated steel, brass, stainless steel and nylon mouldings.

A stabilised ladder is ideal for free standing use, which means that you can use your ladder just like a stepladder. The difference is that where a conventional stepladder is not safe on the uneven ground found in the garden, a stabilised ladder is perfectly suited to these conditions.

The wide base and huge range of adjustment, allows it to be used in safety on all types of terrain. Used this way it is possible to achieve a stable reach of up to 14 ft by standing at the point where the top mounting bracket meets the ladder (approximately 8 ft up the ladder).

This makes it a perfect tool for hedge cutting and tree prunning.

Ladder Stabiliser Four pairs of aircraft grade aluminium telescopic struts are connected, two each side. They can be pulled out from the stored position to form a triangle to each side of the ladder.

Each strut is adjustable in length by use of the easily operated locking buttons. The vertical struts give 15" of movement and the horizontal struts give 12".

Each strut can be adjusted independently, so allowing for use on uneven ground. Once fitted it takes about 30 seconds to put into position and can be put away even quicker, lying flat against the side of the ladder when not in use.

With the ladder against a solid structure, the Ankalad will give protection up to a safe reach of 26 feet.

Without a Laddermax, carrying out work on gutters can be a tricky job. Either the ladder leans directly against the guttering, which can damage it, or the ladder leans against the wall below, which then requires a balancing act to access the gutter. With Laddermax, the task of cleaning out guttering couldn't be easier. The Laddermax is positioned directly in front of the gutter without even touching it, allowing direct access at the perfect height. From this position a long section of the gutter can be cleaned before needing to move the ladder along. Repairs and replacements can also be carried out without the need for scaffolding.
